It’s back to grind. I overslept and I’m already feeling behind on my new years goals. Did you set any goals? Last night I was restless and couldn’t sleep. At 1 am, life became clear and I come up with most amazing projects and ideas for 2010. Unfortunely, I woke up this morning and forgot them. So below my abbreviated list of goals in 2010 in no particular order. Happy productive 2010!

1. Don’t go to bed with dishes in the sink.
2. Complete at least one floor in the house.
3. Learn to edit video.
4. Go to Paris.
5. Start interviewing more artists, crafts people, and cool people in New England for my blog. Because I’m tired of just talking about myself.

p.s. I’m having major problems switching my blog over to wordpress. Half of my posts are still on the old site. I just don’t get it! If you know anyone that’s a wordpress guru send them my way!

Over the weekend I somehow came across a flickr group called, Cathedral Window Quilts. The panes of color showcase vintage fabrics that make drool with delight. As I read though the comments I began to get discouraged. Many of these quilts took years to make. How hard could it be? I tend to find projects that are bit to complex for my skill level. Check out a tutorial I found online showing you how to make Cathedral windows. For my first quilt I should probably choose something easier?

I honestly don’t know what to say. But the news is true. I can’t believe it. I worked at House & Garden that closed in November 2007 and now domino too. Am I cursed? I’m totally sad and wondering what will happen to all my favorite magazines? Join the discussion over at design*sponge.

I can’t hold back the tears. I am so happy! I’m going to bed and I can’t wait to dream of how great our country’s future will be.

Tomorrow is the big day! I know I am going to have a hard time sleeping tonight with all the anticipation. I can’t believe by the end of the day tomorrow we will have a decision of who will be our next president. I hope to god that it’s Barack Obama! Please remember to vote tomorrow. I will be there in line. It’s going to feel so good to know that I was part of my entire country’s future.
