Tide Out At Crescent Beach

We spent the weekend with my nieces at my sister’s beach house rental in Owls Head overlooking Crescent Beach. From my bedroom window I could hear the waves crashing and watch the tide go in and out. I snapped a hundred photos of this one view when the tide went out to reveal green and brown seaweed covered rocks. The tones and colors were magical against a blue summer sky and pointy green pine trees in the distance.

  2. Such gorgeous colors in those photographs, and I love the texture of the grassy mounds together with the rippled sand. I haven’t been to Maine in years, and I’m thinking that needs to be next summer’s vacation.

  4. Crescent by far is one of my favorite Maine beaches! I miss living up there, but at least my family is still there so I can visit as often as I want!

  5. SO beautiful. Most people only publish shots of crystal blue water on sunny days but these shots are stunning – so evocative and moody – I love them!

  6. We definitely share a love for the seaside! Altough living by the Swedish westcoast, which is wonderful, I have a longing for the American east coast. Especially after reading your posts:). Thank you for being a great inspiration. Enjoy the rest of summer.

  7. At the risk of repeating myself (cuz I may have already said this)…. these shots look like Angela Adams rugs – which are inspired by the coastal Maine waters where she grew up. So beautiful.

  8. Thanks Jane! It was really nice to get away. I’ve been spoiled this summer taking a few really fun trips. I’m happy to home and enjoy the last bits of summer in Marblehead.
