Bennison Fabrics: Paiampore

Spotted in Matchbook issue 4 Bennison Paiampore fabric. Gorgeous, right? It’s a favorite of design duo Tilton Fenwick and I think I’ll be adding to my wish list too. I can’t stop thinking about the gray/orange/blue color palette, sophisticated but not too stuffy.

Bennison based in England specializes in hand-printed fabrics based on “original 18th and 19th Century English and French textiles discovered by the late, renowned antique dealer and decorator, Geoffrey Bennison”. Majority of the designs are printed on linen and available in a number of different colorways. A few more of my favorites spotted on their website under “new designs”:
Dragonfly
Injigo Lace
Petites Fleur

It is lovely! I love the orange color among the grays and blues. It adds a whimsical and cheerful air to the classic pattern. I wonder if it would work in your newly painted den? : )

I believe these type of patterns are consider Jacobean in nature if you’re ever looking for a less expensive option. I sure like this one though with all of the pretty colors. I bet it’s really beautiful in person also!

Love it. I spent hours looking at fabrics on the weekend. How can there be so much choice and yet it be so difficult to find “the one”?!

Beautiful fabric. You could end up planning a room around it. Glad you got your poppies! I finally got a pink poppy after trying many times. They don’t seem as rugged as the red/orange.

    Hi Katy-
I spent a day shooting with the Tilton Fenwick girls, and absolutely adored Bennison’s! It was truly magical – I highly recommend visiting the shop next time you’re in New York. So happy you found such inspiration in our 5th issue, and thanks so much for your support!
    xx, Jane
