Flags Around Marblehead
Posted on | July 2, 2010 | 6 Comments
The holiday weekend festivities are just getting started here in Marblehead. On my walk this morning everyone was out hanging flags, decorating fences, and garden pots with flags. I can’t wait to relax and make ribs for a picnic at the beach. If your interested in coming to town for the holiday weekend find event listings here and here. Have a great weekend!

I really did love Marblehead during the brief time I was there. The history is palpable and all of the houses are just breathtaking. I really love that they have those plaques on a bunch of houses that state the date the house was built and the original owners. So cool!

I remember one of my favorite Independence Days was spent in Warren, Vermont…a small town where they have the most amazing 4th of July parade! My family was staying at a hotel (The Pitcher Inn) which gave us the luxury of watching the festivities from their wrap-around porch. Apple pie was baking, floats were floating and flags were flying, many were, I must say. Your pics reminded me of my good memories. xo, Megan.

Beautiful homes! First time here. My daughter lives in Somerville, so we/I come out a couple of times a year. I will have to ask her to drive me around your area. I know she goes into Marblehead for work at times so she should be familiar with the area.

So cute, I love it! My parents always put bunting on our house in NH.

I absolutely love Marblehead. It’s my favorite town on the North Shore. How I miss New England and all it’s patriotism during the holidays!
