beach day in late may Hot Lunch Break In May

Holy crapola it’s hot out today. 85 degrees in May in New England, craziness! I went down to the beach for my lunch break too soak in a little Vitamin D. I’m taking full advantage of the great weather this summer—last year it rained till August. Unfortunately, I had to head back to my home office to sweat it out. I’m working in my bathing suit and drinking gallons of ice tea. Not so bad for a Wednesday in May? How are you surviving the spring heatwave?

I’ve been following your blog for awhile and really enjoy your house pics and good stories. I was in Marblehead a few years ago and thought it was lovely!

The temps here haven’t gotten that high yet but it has definitely gotten more humid. And I know this is just the beginning. I’m dreading my first summer in the South!

I’m in Northern California and I think our weather patterns got switched. While it is usually 70-80 at this time of year we have been steadily in the low 60s, raining with gusty winds. I long for a week in the mid 70s so my garden will start to grow again.

I had to put the AC in our bedroom tonight. Can’t believe it. I don’t think I ever done that on the East Coast before July!

You’re lucky up there; in Southern Mississippi the beginning of May had highs in the mid 90s. Feels like I should be a bucket of sweat.

Hi! I am enjoying it. I can’t sit out too long in the sun – I am a red head!
I have fans on and windows open until 10 then we close up tight until 5pm.
My studio is in the basement (thats why we bought this house!!!)so its always cool! Our reno of the main floor is starting soon (the 14th) so the A/C is off and lemonade is going to flow!
    Love your blog!

Oh, not surviving so well. If I had a beach to take refuge at I might fare better, but it’s hell in the concrete jungle!
