Spots of Green in Marblehead

The flowers, leaves, and grass have really started to grow this week. All the perennials I planted in my garden last year are slowly coming back. Yeah! On Wednesday it was 90 degrees and today it’s raining and 52. Ahh New England weather.

Spots of green are a welcome sight and I can’t wait for the warm weather to arrive for good. I’ve been busy researching kayaks for Greg and I. Last summer we were too broke to buy anything but this year I put a little fun money aside for fixing up our sailboat and getting kayaks. If anyone has a recommendation for a specific brand or style kayaks let me know. I know I don’t want one where I have to learn how to roll it… too scary and I’m a nose holder.

Above and below spots of green seen from my bedroom window and around my neighborhood this morning.

Beautiful! Doesn’t the green just make you happy? I know, you are a green kind of gal!

The Midwest is no better weather-wise. Last week we broke a record at 84° and today it was 31°. Go figure.

forget about he kayaks and get stand up paddle boards… you are standing and can see so much more. it is a great work out for your back too. you do not need to drop into waves to enjoy this sport. i live on lake champlain in vermont and paddle surf from may until october. at least 5 times a week. i love it. you can even get an extra wide windsurfing board for stability. it might sound crazy, but really try it is the best!

Your photographs are magical, they really make the “lay of the land” in Marblehead come alive. Yes it seems like in a blink we went from Winter to Spring and back again. I noticed the tulips in my courtyard just sprung up in the last few days and I am hoping to not see them covered in snow.

Oh, I love your blog. It transports me! Someday we’ll end up a little further north. I love New England.
