Utility Sink In Bathroom
Posted on | January 4, 2010 | 10 Comments

I was cleaning out my office over the weekend and came across this bathroom from Country Living February 2009. I’ve spotted utility sinks in more modern bathrooms renovations but pairing the sink with wainscoting gives the space a more farmhouse appeal. Maybe this would work for a bathroom off my dream kitchen?

Love this. The patina on the mirror and door make it extra special.

I LOVE utility sinks in bathrooms… I call them the gas station sink. I used on in a powder room that I designed… Amazing! She gets so many comments from it. I would do it! My family lives in Marblehead, MA… Love reading your BLOG keeps me in touch with them. Thanks for sharing!

The only caveat is that it looks like there’s no place to put soaps and any other items. If this is just a powder room, I see it as not being a negative but if it’s a high-function bathroom I’d be nervous about its usefulness.

The sink idea would go in bathroom off a kitchen. It would be more of a powder room. That’s is a good point Lydia about having no space to store items. I personally don’t like things on the sink top. You could put a small dispenser of soap on top and store all your other needs in the medicine cabinet above.
