Red and Cream Striped Stairs

I thought I lost this photo. I searched for hours last week. Somehow it ended up in a weird folder that had nothing to do with stairs. In fear I would loose the photo again (i.e. hard drive dieing) I am posting here tonight. I don’t remember the source other then I found them through a hotel link at Remodelista. How great is the red stripe? Also, check out this great post on Door Sixteen with more staircase inspiration. Whef! I feel relieved I got that off my chest. Night!

My “trinity” in Philadelphia in the 80′s had corner stairs like these. I painted the treads shiny dark brown with cream risers and remember using marine paint for wear and shine.
