I’ve been bugging my boyfriend for months to make me a nautical rope rug for our front door. He keeps giving me the, “yeah, yeah, yeahs.” Today I spotted diy instructions over at design*sponge to make a knot trivet. Maybe I could try it? Find out more over here.

That's wicked cute. I'm wondering if I should attempt to make my own or find somewhere to buy one though :) Just discovered your blog yesterday, your house is adorable and makes me homesick for New England :)

I’m in the process of trying to find some nice rope to make some of these too. Did you ever end up making one? Any good rope sources?
