Over the weekend before the big snowstorm I headed to the beach while it was still warm. The beach was extremely windy but sunny. I took a few shots of the beach to remember what it was like in the dead of winter just before spring. To view more click here. Enjoy!

Your photos are so beautiful and whimsical. What camera do you use? Do you filter the camera or photo shop them after? I am so inspired by your blog.

oh, wow! i am having the same question about camera v. photoshopping–i see a lot of people getting that really vivid aqua hue/lomo look lately. is it the camera or the photoshop?

It's poladroid: an application you can download for free to get the look of old polaroids.

The fun part is that you have no idea how your photo will turn out. Just as if it was a real polaroid.

I just bought an holga camera too that can get a similar look. I'll share once I get the film developed.

These are gorgeous, Katy. Maybe frame a few and hang in a bathroom … ? We have a nautical-themed bathroom in the house I grew up in, and it was always my favorite: watercolor etchings of lighthouses, vertical-striped wallpaper, shell soap, etc.

Actually, the photos are going to my sister for her birthday. I picked 8 of them and had them print in 8×8 squares. The photos are of Crane Beach in Ipswich, Ma. A beach we went to all the time as kids.
