Tom Scheerer: French and Modern Mix
Posted on | March 19, 2009 | Comments Off

A new interior by my fav designer Tom Scheerer featured in this month’s House Beautiful. Parts of the interiors are a little too French (the antiques were inherited) for me but I do like the mix of styles. A rolled arm sofa in the above shot feels modern bathed in an Indian block print. Below are a few more rooms from the house. If the overall look is too overwhelming check out the individual pieces that make up the room. A classic braided rug feels sophisticated in brown and cream. Chenille fabric used as a headboard makes the room feel light and airy. A modern platform bed in an old house feels like a perfect fit. Check out more of the home on housebeautiful.com.
