Reminds me of the entry hall to one of the places we stayed in Argentina! It was the opposite–that wall color was in an adjoining room, and the door color was on the walls:

Isn't it? I don't know if you can see the rest of that album, but everywhere we stayed had such amazing architecture, colors, decor… The bedframes in that same b&b were the most amazing art nouveau iron bedsteads! I'm dying to go back.

What an absolutely beautiful website, how inspiring — thanks for posting the link. By the way, how did you get the image for your post? I tried to save some of the images to my digital "tear sheet" file and couldnt do it?

um, I don't know what a digital tear sheet is. I just right click on the image and choose "save to desktop".

oops…just figured it out. thanks.
by digital tear sheets, I mean my saved photo's of inspiring rooms etc. as opposed to actual tear sheets from magazines.
