Blaze, Dr. Huey, and Sally Holmes Roses
Posted on | February 11, 2009 | 4 Comments

I am in love with this shot from Martha Stewart’s March 2009 issue. Sparky pink-red ‘Blaze’ and ‘Dr.Huey’ roses, are only mildly fragrant. For a greater effect, the flowers are underplanted with sweet-smelling thyme. Below a shot of private garden in Southhampton, New York. ‘Sally Holmes’ roses billow from a pergola.

That is NOT a Sally Holmes rose, Katie. You were looking at the description for the opposite page. Sally Holmes is a beautiful pale creamy rose with apricot shadings. I have it in my garden and love it.

Thanks for the heads up. I added both photos from the spread.
