Old Windsor Chairs

I’ve been trying to decide on dining room chairs for months. Our house is 257-years-old so doing anything too modern seems a bit odd. I thought about going with a set of old windsor chairs. I love the way the look but now I am thinking they are too cliché new england. I know I’m crazy and totally indecisive! Here a few I found at a antique shop in Essex, Ma. They carry antique and reproductions versions in many different styles.

What a great shop, I'd love to rummage there!

Re: your dining chairs, how about having two of each style and mix them up round the table – with the round back version at each end. You could keep them as they are or paint them all the same colour to tone?

Forget about cliche. You like how they look and they are some of the best chairs ever made on this planet. Seriously, they are engineered perfection and some of the designs are truly timeless. Well, thats my two cents anyway. Good luck.
