Handknit Throws at Twinkle Living

I have about 9 friends who are due this spring. Since I am on a knitting kick I thought about making them all a baby blanket. I wanted to do something a little heavier so that they could tuck their little one inside their stroller. I wish I knew how to do the popcorn stitch shown above. Looks really hard! But maybe I could do the stitch below. I think it’s just the basic stitch I know? The styles and colors available at Twinkle Living are beautiful and inspiring.

try the seed stich I think you will get similar result that you can handle
cast on even number of stiches
( right side) Row 1*knit one, purl one*
Row 2 *purl one, knit one*
repeat
or do double seed stich, same effect just a bit more pronouced
cast on even number of stiches
( right side) Row 1*knit two, purl two*
Row 2 *purl two, knit two*
repeat
have fun!

Oh, delicious. I love blankets and pillows that look like sweaters.
