Happy Anniversary: Homeowner Style

Last night was our anniversary of 6 years. To celebrate we went to Home Depot and bought a new garbage disposal. What can I say, I’m a lucky girl. We found out the sink was majorly leaking the night before and the drain needed to be replaced. We decided to just go ahead and install a garbage disposal while we were at it.
Below is a photo of our sofa that we can’t believe we actually got into the house. Two tries up two very small staircases and a night’s sleep (because Katy chickened out) we got the sofa in. Getting it in involved a circus act of propping the sofa up on top of the moving van with the help of a neighbor, driving around the corner to the front of the house, and sliding the sofa in through the 2nd floor window. Honestly, I was kinda bummed it did fit! I was sick of the sofa and had my eye on something new that was less bulky and dark.
This weekend’s to do list involves finishing the garbage disposal installation, putting in a water spigot out front, and working on unpacking the rest of the boxes. The forecast is predicating rain all weekend so maybe we will be able to set up the projector and get in some new movies too! Have a nice weekend!

Happy anniversary! Also–best gift ever; my husband had never had a disposal and pushed back a little when I wanted one and now he is a total convert. He doesn't thank it every night the way he does the dishwasher, though…

Happy Anniversary! I can totally identify with that gift – it was my one year wedding anniversary last month and we gave each other a new roof! ;)
I can see why you have your eye on that couch – so nice!
