I am fascinated by Chris Natrop’s paper sculptures. Each piece is so delicate and has a feeling of weightlessness. The pieces cover the walls of gallery creating a reshaped environment that feels ethereal and fleeting. Chris mentions his work is drawn from everyday life and landscape. Each installation becomes a glimpse of a moment in time showing us the lightness, shadow, and beauty of something that could have been overlooked. But isn’t that the reason for most abstract art? It seems that this is Chris Natrop’s representations of those moments. Check out more of his work: chrisnatrop.com
